Gary is a seasoned storyteller with a deep background in narrative-driven design that translates cultural, historical and natural world stories into compelling and engaging experiences for audiences the world over.
Alongside producing over a thousand hours of television content, he’s spent the last 20 years with Gibson International crafting immersive theatre and interactive digital installations that challenge conventional audience engagements. These include multiple bi-cultural and indigenous-led projects, such as the Best Design Award nominated Manea: Footprints of Kupe. With a degree in New Zealand history, his knowledge and understanding of local histories are a particular strength and interest.
Gary’s multi-disciplinary approach blends narrative, technology and space to create emotionally resonant experiences.
